VUNA HUNA 2025 Conference Successfully Hosts Annual Meeting, Introducing for the First Time the Uro-Oncology Course with Leading European Experts in Vietnam

From August 21–23, 2025, in Nha Trang, the Vietnam Urology and Nephrology Association (VUNA), in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Urology and Nephrology Association (HUNA) and Khanh Hoa General Hospital, successfully organized the 19th VUNA and 22nd HUNA Annual Scientific Meeting. As the largest and most prestigious scientific forum in Vietnam’s urology and nephrology field, the conference attracted more than 1,600 participants across multiple specialties, with 252 speakers, including 37 international experts.

This year’s program featured 54 scientific sessions, over 320 presentations, 7 satellite symposia, and live-surgery session providing participants with extensive updates from theory to clinical practice. The live-surgery program showcased cutting-edge minimally invasive techniques such as Mini-PCNL, HoLEP, kidney-preserving tumor resection, and laparoscopic lithotripsy with flexible endoscope combined with PCNL (eCirs).

The most significant highlight was the Uro-Oncology Course, held for the first time in Vietnam. The course brought together over 120 participants from leading hospitals nationwide and was delivered by 12 distinguished international faculty, including 6 professors from the European Association of Urology (EAU). Over three days, the program offered state-of-the-art updates across kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and bladder cancer, with a focus on surgery, imaging, systemic therapies, immunotherapy, and future treatment directions.

The VUNA–HUNA conference continues to affirm its role as a vital bridge of knowledge, contributing to the enhancement of professional standards and the global integration of Vietnam’s urology and nephrology community. It also expands opportunities for cooperation and learning, enabling members to exchange experiences and connect with colleagues from countries with advanced medical and healthcare systems worldwide.
